My academic background includes theory, algorithms, and programming. This includes knowledge of sorting algorithms, parallel programming, cloud computing, and database systems. I have used and am proficient in many languages, including C, C#, JavaScript, Python, and Java.
While working as a co-op student at Tekside.io, I used React Native and the Shopify API to code an app that would be used to help a local coffee shop connect with their clients with ease. Taking on the app’s production taught me a lot of essential skills, including how to research, learn on my own, and manage a large project. It was a large responsibility that provided important experience in developing a project from the ground up.
During my co-op at Tigercat I was assigned to the telematics team. I constructed large programs to organize and process the raw operational data from customer’s equipment from all over the world and created reports to assist the customer in operating and maintaining their equipment. Working at Tigercat provided me with the opportunity to learn how to do efficient code reviewing and how to ask useful and descriptive questions to optimize my ability to provide the client with the best product to serve their needs.
